“Henry”
“Henry” was completed in September of 2019, and was completed for my nephew. This piece was showcased in the Hendersonville High School Art Show and Awarded a Honorable Mention in the pen and ink category.
“Ferdinand at the Park”
A project completed for Mary’s Magical Kingdom in November 2020. Based off the book character Ferdinand the bull, and his pursuit to enjoy the things he loves. The medium for this project was spray paint. The project was completed in roughly 2 hours.
“Till the Blues Does Me In”
Inspired by my passion for Jazz music. Growing up my dad played Jazz music during almost every family dinner. Some of my favorite memories are to the sound of Jazz. This work was completed in February 2021. This piece went on to win a Gold Key for the State of Tennessee in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. This piece currently hangs in my father’s office.
The S Chair
The “Z” Chair is synonymous with ingenuity. Spring semester of my freshman year me and my partner (Thomas Frain) were challenged to create our own iteration of the “Z” (Also known as the Zig-Zag) chair. We came up with the “S” chair. A simple but perplexing rebuttal to the ingenuity of the “Z” chair. Together we create a chair that has been tested up to 230 pounds, with standing that pressure with out a single screw. Just like the original “Z” chair the “S” chair only uses joinery to withstand all forces applied.

Digital Work Flows
Fall 2023
For this project we were challenged to recreate a space we spent a lot of time in. I choose my sophomore year dorm room. Our task was to dissect our living spaces, and challenge our views on spaces we denote as important. I was able to recreate my entire dorm room, and capture the essence of the space completely through digital means.

Cans are a staple of everyday life, roughly everyone drinks one can a day... While cans themselves are very a very reusable material, how can they be made into something new. I chose cans because they are in my everyday, when looking into how to create a material I didn’t know where to start. So I cut the can into three different pieces. And it all started there...
Start with a can (1). Cut the can into three pieces. Discarding the top and the bottom (2). Hammer the cut can into flat sheet. This process gives the tile it’s texture. Mark the can with tile size. (3) Cut the can into tile shape. Make a small slit for metal fastener to be attached. Then hammer fastener flat. (4) Then Spray paint the tiles matte black (5). Cut a small slit for Zip tie attachment to the matte black PVC pipe support. (6)

After creating a recycled material, I was tasked with integrate this material in order to revitalize a pre-existing space. This space is Remedy Coffee located in Knoxville’s historic old city. When completing a site visit, I observed no private places to sit. This material was the key for providing more secluded areas.

The Howard Baker School
1st Floor Advising Center
Spring 2024
Larger Scope in Partnership with
Nina Kent and Addie Scialla
Establishing an environment for incoming and returning students is the responsibility of the advising offices. An area where one can feel at ease and welcomed. With this forward-thinking approach, the graduate area will be transformed to accommodate the advising offices. Additionally, the area will be transformed into a welcoming space for potential students. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with advocates of The Baker School and develop a profound understanding of what it means to 'Be Like Baker'.
