This series explores architectural observation through both timed and unrestricted sketching exercises across the University of Tennessee campus. Each drawing captures not only the built environment but also the shifting rhythms of perception how the urgency of an 8-minute, 33-second challenge reveals essentials, while unlimited time invites deeper material, spatial, and atmospheric exploration.

Together, these works document a growing sensitivity to line, proportion, light, and texture. From brutalist concrete forms to layered foliage and sweeping stadium curves, each composition reflects a moment of focused engagement with place. The process encouraged intuitive mark-making, quick decision-making, and eventually, refined control laying the foundation for more intentional architectural representation
